Bookeye 4 V2 Kiosk

The Scan2Pad^® wireless controller is included with the Kiosk Edition. It enables wireless connection of the Bookeye^® 4 V3 Kiosk directly to mobile devices like iPads and Android tablets. The book scanner can then be operated directly from your iPad or tablets with the free download of Scan2Pad from your app store. The scanned images are available immediately on the mobile device for further processing and storage.

The Kiosk Edition includes a tablet holding tray for easy access to your tablet.

Scan2Pad uses the extensive functionality of the Bookeye Kiosk scanner. This includes creation of PDF files, automatic size recognition of the source document, color, grayscale and black and white scanning and of course, the well known high quality image results. Each document is stored immediately after scanning in the Scan2Pad app. This ensures that all images are available without connection to the scanner at any time.

The unique book cradle solution allows users to digitize bound documents at a resolution of 400 dpi and A2+ in size, by either lying them flat on the scanning bed or in the V-cradle, at an angle of 120 degrees.

Note the 4 green start scan buttons located on the front of the cradle. This allows for easy reach scanning as pages are being turned or held down.

The new plug-in Scan2PS for Adobe® Photoshop® software is particularly suitable for the art sector, but also for any applications that involve image editing. The plugin exports and saves the scanned images either as a JPEG or TIFF file directly into the program. This saves an enormous amount of time and guarantees a high document throughput. Images can be scanned at resolutions up to 600 optical dpi, to produce digital images of the highest quality and with color accuracy.

Scan2PS takes advantage of the extensive capabilities of Scan2Net® scanners; including automatic size detection, crop and deskew, image splitting, color management and outputs in color, grayscale and black and white; to name just a few of the standard functions and features. It complements and extends the patented Scan2Net® technology that powers all Image Access scanners. The plug-in can be used on Adobe Photoshop software versions off CS6 and the Creative Cloud® and is available for customers to download free of charge in the Customer Service Portal. The Scan2Net platform is the technological foundation of all WideTEK and Bookeye scanners from Image Access. The platform replaces the proprietary scanner drivers and software that traditional scanners require with the fastest common, nonproprietary inter-device connection available: TCP/IP over Ethernet. With network interface speeds much higher than USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 scanners, Scan2Netl devices are able to reach unrivaled performance at extremely low connectivity cost.

Scan2Net scanners feature a 64bit Linux based operating system, dedicated to scanner specific imaging and mechanical control tasks, maximizing scanning speeds and performance.

State of the art illumination using bright white LEDs guarantees long lifetime and a low cost of ownership, since there are practically no consumables necessary over the life of the product. Cutting edge camera technology, with a dust-protected, fully sealed camera box holding CCD systems that use a patented stitching procedure, delivers up to 400 dpi scanner resolution.

An integrated 22" Touchscreen allows the operator to control image quality and make some modifications on the fly. Scanned images can be output to USB, eMail, network, printer or on a mobile device like an iPad or Anrdoid tablet.

Two USB 3.0 ports in the front of the device (next to screen) allows the user to plug in multiple USB storage devices, scan the source document to the USB device and walk away - without the need for a connected PC - ideal for every self-service environment.
