The drivers for the scanner have to be calibrated to output in FADGI compliant image mode. That means either 300 or 400 dpi uncompressed tiff file format. The scanner must therefore be dedicated to FADGI scanning projects only.
Fortunately, the Kodak software allows for the scanner to be used in either FADGI or Non-FADGI mode. This allows the scanner to be used for other non-fadgi related projects. (Only Kodak models).
On-site Installation & Training
Onsite Installation should include Installation, Calibration, Testing, Certification and Training
Not every brand includes Training or Certification. The scanner must be certified with the target to generate images. That Certification Report is required with each batch of scans. The software generates the Report. Neither Canon nor Fujitsu have that capability, you must purchase FADGI Certification software and its target to generate reports.
