NEW! License
Manager for Concurrent Licensing Installations
The new License Manager in Imagenation 6.3 simplifies network
administration and enables all members of an organization to easily access
Imagenation’s powerful functions from a network. (Read
the License Manager Getting Started Guide.)The License Manager controls the number of
seats and the editions of Imagenation client sessions that can run
concurrently from a network or server installation.
The License Manager is software
that provides security, similar to a dongle, that grants access to
Imagenation on a TCP/IP network. A single License Manager is capable of
monitoring Imagenation licenses for any size of installation. |
How it works:
1) A user requests Imagenation from the network.
2) License Manager verifies that the
requested edition of Imagenation is available.
3) License Manger instructs the
Imagenation server to launch the requested edition of Imagenation to the
client.
4) Once the client closes
Imagenation, the license is released and is available immediately for any
other Imagenation users. |
License Monitoring
License Manager features a smart license release design that ensures
optimum usage of licenses. This is accomplished in several ways:
- In the event of a client or server
crash, License Manager allows time to re-establish the connection. If
the connection cannot be re-established, License Manager releases the
license.
- License Manager sends intermittent
pings to all active clients. If a client is inactive, License Manger
releases the license after a specified period of inactivity.
- License Manager may be locked to a
dongle.
