Integrated 2D + 3D CAD Viewer

To securely share and distribute your 3D CAD files, save to a neutral format, such as STL, IGES, or VRML. Users from other departments—marketing, sales, manufacturing, maintenance—can view the 3D CAD models with Imagenation, ensuring the integrity of the native file. And, because Imagenation now supports 3D VRML models as exported by all major CAD applications, true compatibility with all engineering design environments is provided.

Files can be marked up in 2D using Imagenation’s existing markup tools. Using the new 3D mode is made easy by its consistency with the existing look and feel of Imagenation.

Imagenation can be configured to open a 3D file, in either 2D Projection mode or 3D Model mode.

3D Model Cross-Sectioning
Control clipping planes and independently cross-section any number of models with on-the-fly cross-sectioning.

With a simple user interface, you can control a front and back clipping plane and independently cross-section any number of models. Users can simultaneously extract a "slice" of a 3D model's back and front view for detailed analysis of model structures. On-the-fly cross-sectioning also saves time and aggravation as you can easily switch from one model to another without needing to reapply the cross-sectioning tool.

Load and display 2D and 3D files simultaneously.

View Options Dialog Box
Change how the 3D model is displayed through the View Options dialog box.

Choose from Smooth Shading, Flat Shading, Wireframes and Points display styles. Imagenation allows you to apply separate display styles for the model in 'Still' and 'Interactive' modes.
