In addition to the fi-6240 scanner being the smallest
scanner in its class, both models are able to scan an impressive 60 pages or
120 images per-minute in monochrome or Grayscale (Letter @ 200dpi) as well
as 40 pages or 80 images per-minute in Color (Letter @ 300dpi). Furthermore,
the Fujitsu fi-6140 and fi-6240 models are the first scanners in their class
to adopt high-end “fi series” functions such as:
Paper Protection technology: Protects valuable documents
by halting the scanning process when it recognizes that a jam is about to
occur.
Intelligent Multifeed Function (iMFF): Simplifies
pre-scanning preparation and improves efficiency by ignoring documents
that trigger false multi-feed alerts such as a photo or sticky note.
Intelligent Capture Correction Function (iCCF): Auto-color
recognition, auto-size detection, and auto de-skew correction provides
dramatic efficiency by combining fast scanning with simultaneous high
speed image processing.

Fujitsu fi-6140C and fi-6240C workgroup scanners conveniently include
everything inbox to get organizations up and scanning. With the full
version of Kofax Software VRS, Adobe Acrobat Standard, QuickScan and
ScandAll 21 software, users get
image enhancement functionality as well as the option of scanning directly
to PDF, file, print or batch. Ultra SCSI and USB 2.0 interfaces offer
broad compatibility and high performance. And the one-year Limited
Warranty, along with eligibility for our Advance Exchange Program,
provides peace-of-mind.
Quality
The fi-6240C offers high quality output resolution up to 600dpi. Control over error diffusion, color dropout and gamma
correction via the driver allows a wide variety of documents to be scanned.
Additional features
With a slide away output tray, the scanner can be positioned near the user workstation for ease of use. When not in use, the scanner reverts
to a standby mode using only 6.2 watts of power.
A "Scan" button on the scanner allows the
scanning process to be started from the scanner and it launches a user selectable application.
A "Send" button allows the document to be scanned and sent to
either your default printer or selected application on your PC. A user may
pre-select up to nine different applications.
Interface and Support
The fi-6140C and the fi-6240C have an industry-standard USB-2.0 interface
and a SCSI-2 interface port. The scanner comes with a USB-2.0 cable
and includes Adobe Acrobat 8.0 standard, ScandAll Pro scanning software and Kofax
VRS Pro image clean up software.
