Color is captured at 48 bits for maximum color precision, passing the best 24 bits of color data to the computer to enhance color fidelity. The SP6-LF936 uses all digital camera technology with advanced point-of-origin color capture ensuring minimum noise and an extended dynamic range. Quality color fluorescent lamps ensure the market's highest standards for color correctness.

The scanner's unique four-linear technology, with a special panchromatic line, ensures that no colors are lost when scanner monochrome.

The SP6-LF936' on-board real time color correction and 2D filters for color sharpening, softening and blur provide superior results with a wide variety on images. The SP6-LF936 supports the latest in monochromatic scanning technology with Dual 2D-Adaptive enhancement that works simultaneously on foreground, background edges and other individual aspects of the original, so you'll produce clean crisp scans even from poor quality drawings. The SP6-LF936 protects your document and scanning results with the ALL Wheel Drive document path system. Precision soft-friction rollers and contour adjustment ensure a straight scan path without applying unnecessary force so you avoid distortion and damage to your originals.

Advanced Power Management

The SP6-LF936 scanner is designed to let you concentrate on your work and take optimal scanner performance for granted.
The scanner incorporates the 3C Auto-Maintenance system that keeps your cameras perfectly aligned, adjusted and calibrated for optimal image quality.
Once the scanner has been fine-tuned, it performs a number of basic tasks on its own, removing those tedious chores required with other scanner systems. Using patented Calcomp technology, camera stitching and black-white-points are constantly monitored and corrected while your scanner is running.

Running the right internal temperature is of utmost importance with high quality scanning. The scanner's advanced Power Management rapidly brings the scanner to its optimal working temperature after which the temperature is monitored for lowest CCD noise. The system also lets you program the scanner to power-up automatically in the early morning hours so that it stands ready to scan when you arrive at the office.

One Touch Scanning
The scanner's operator's panel is designed with convenient programmable action buttons for initiating frequent tasks directly from the scanner. Each button immediately activates a scan and opens the image in an appropriate application and format. The scanner comes with buttons for scanning, copying and e-mailing loaded originals.
