G-series 5.25-inch magneto optical storage automation family, with its
revolutionary new architecture, delivers new standards in automation
reliability, data availability, serviceability, and performance, with
unsurpassed scalability.
The G-series
family is an enterprise library scalable from 164 slots to 638 slots,
and from 4, to 12 drives. The enterprise libraries offer a capacity
range from 1.5TB to 5.8TB. A “loaded” library is equipped with hot
swappable drives/fans, bar code scanner, remote library management*,
redundant power supplies*, 10-slot bulk load magazine, automatic
robotics calibration, plus more.
These advanced
functions are necessary to service data intensive archival storage
environments and applications such as medical imaging, finance,
insurance, e-trading, records imaging and archiving, as well as local,
state and federal government records management. The
G-series is ideal for network storage solutions for 24x7x365 data
intensive environments where multiple users demand reliable, fast,
random, and frequent retrieval of mission critical files. The G-series
library family is available with the new Sony 9.1GB-14X magneto optical
drive in both rewritable and WORM media formats.
